The project “Emerging African Innovation Leaders-G7 exchange and empowerment program for enabling innovation within the next production revolution” was presented by the Presidenza del Consiglio Italiana during the Outreach Africa session of the G7 in Taormina. It was funded by the Agenzia Italiana per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo and was carried out, among others, by Politecnico di Torino.
The program involves twenty delegates from six different African countries such as Tunisia, Niger, Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia and Mozambique, that develop cutting-edge projects in the energy and digitization sectors. These delegates represent Africa’s ecosystem of innovation coming from businesses, international and government agencies, start-ups and universities.
The project aims to implement innovative projects on the African continent, identifying technology as an irreplaceable tool for sustainable growth, increased productivity and improved quality of life.
