On July 15, 2022 the Final Review meeting of the EU research project MIRROR was held.

The purpose of the review, which took place online, was to present the European Commission’s experts with the numerous objectives achieved during these three years of the project.

MIRROR, which stands for “MIgration-Related Risks caused by misconceptions of Opportunities and Requirement”, is the Horizon 2020 project that aimed to develop an integrated platform, a set of tools, as well as a systematic methodology capable of analyzing the ways in which Europe is perceived outside its borders, especially by the countries of origin of migration.

The target is to highlight the differencies between “perception and reality” in order to make European organizations and institutions more aware of the consequences and dangers that such misconceptions may cause.

In this project, EURIX led the “System Architecture and Integration” task as partner responsible for the development of the Data Streaming & Analytics framework.

The project consortium was formed by: L3S Research Center Leibniz University Hannover (Germany), Federal Ministry of Defence (Austria), Malta Police Force (Malta), Swedish Police Authority (Sweden), HENSOLDT Analytics GmbH (Austria), EURIX Srl (Italy), University of Groningen (Netherlands), Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (Greece), Swedish Defense Research Agency (Sweden), University of Vienna (Austria), University of Malta (Malta), Conoscenza e Innovazione Srls (Italy), Fremde Werden Freunde (Austria), Agenfor International Foundation (Italy).

MIRROR started on June 1, 2019 and ran for three years.
