WOW PROJECT
EURIX has been awarded the NODES research project WOW, which stands for “Wellbeing Optimization at Work”.
WOW will develop an innovative and scalable solution to increase productivity in mountainous teleworking, co-working and indoor working environments. During the project, both objective data on the quality of the indoor environment will be collected via an IoT infrastructure and subjective data on perceived well-being. The data obtained will then be analysed using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms.
In cooperation with the Politecnico di Torino, EURIX, as technology provider and system integrator, will develop the IoT solution for monitoring the teleworking environment and the IT infrastructure for data management, analysis and visualisation.
The end user Unione Montana Alta Langa will help validate the system in a real operating environment and increase the impact of the solution on the territory, involving the municipalities of the Union.
WOW has been thus born out of the need to raise awareness of environmental well-being in remote workplaces among mountain local governments. The project will contribute to the repopulation of municipalities with lower population density.
PoliTo researchers belong to the TEBE Research Group of the Energy Department; this research group works in the fields of energy efficiency in buildings, indoor environmental quality and air conditioning systems.
NODES is the new North West Ecosystem designed to respond to the strategic challenges of innovation and to foster thedigital and ecological transition.
