QAIS PROJECT
EURIX has been awarded the QAIS research project, which stands for “Quality & Artificial Intelligence Services”.
QAIS, thanks to the application of Artificial Intelligence in the quality control of fasteners, aims to define a catalog of advanced Big Data analytics services based on IoT communication between industrial sorting machines and the cloud.
These services will leverage two elements of the value proposition: quality control, guaranteed by metrological verification and automatic identification of defective parts using AI, e productivity, guaranteed by monitoring, diagnostics, automatic upgrades, and scheduled maintenance.
As a System Integrator partner, EURIX will be responsible for co-designing the Big Data analytics service, automatic data transfer from the sorting machine to the data lake platform, and implementing the remote monitoring portal.
We will adopt MLOps practices for the automatic identification of anomalies in industrial images and the automation of metrological reports.
The project partners are: Dimac, EURIX, DISIT – University of Eastern Piedmont.
QAIS started in October 2024 and has a runtime of thirty months.
