The GAIA project presents the recent achievements of the mission at the IAU symposium hosted in Nice from 24 to 26 April.

A new relativistic model used for the reduction of data collected by the GAIA satellite has been developed, in collaboration with OATo (Osservatorio Astrofisico di Torino) and the University of Bern. The tests performed on simulated data allowed the validation of the model, demonstrating the compliance of this new method with the reduction of real data collected by the satellite.

EURIX contributed to this important result by implementing the software used for the whole analysis pipeline and data reduction, providing thier expertise and the resources required for the infrastructure.
